With restaurants serving the traditional Indian cuisines with new twist, the concept of Fusion food is undoubtedly earning great popularity. Not to forget, food enthusiasts are absolutely loving it !! After hearing a lot about D Rajnikhant Dosa from our social group, we finally visited this place. Being dosa lovers ourselves, our expectation was naturally too high from this place.
D Rajnikhant Dosa has 5 outlets in different areas within Mumbai. We visited the one located in South Mumbai. Specifically, this Food joint is in Lalbaug market next to Digvijay Mill. The first look of the place was pretty good. Rajnikant sir’s picture on outlet’s entrance gave us the good feel that we were originally expecting.. Although they had compact seating area, everything was well managed and tidy. The outlet is done nicely with combination of black and yellow colors. The vibrant yellow high rise stools for seating give a great look to the entire setup. We personally like the quick service by the outlet staff and the way they were explaining the food menu..
The name D Rajnikhant Dosa itself clearly defines the menu!! Dosas cover majority of their menu with some Idli variants as well at the end of it. From Sada Dosa to Fusion Dosas, they have different varieties of Dosas. Fusion Dosas cover anything and everything starting from Pav Bhaji Dosa, Cheese Burst Dosa to Manchurian Dosa &Chocolate Dosa. In total, they have 55 variants of Dosas on their menu. There are some unique variants as well. Few of them being Jini Dosa, Dil Khush Dosa & Kolhapuri Dosa.
After seeing the vast menu, we were satisfied with our decision of visiting D Rajnikhant Dosa to ease our Dosa cravings.. What made us even more satisfied & happy was the super amazing taste of the Dosas..
Moving on to the point of focus!! Below is what we tried.
1. Jini Dosa- This, if you will ask the restaurant staff, is their signature & most liked Dosa.It is served with lots of grated cheese, Coconut & Peanut chutney. It has spicy paneer & mix veggies stuffing.This one is a great option for spicy food lovers. We loved the plating too. We highly recommend this one !!

2. Pasta Cheese Burst Dosa- Honestly, we had great expectations from this cheese burst item because of the word ‘cheese-burst’ obviously. But this was not the one for us. It was not having the Cheese we were expecting. It has pasta and veggies filling. The filling somehow has a Chinese taste to it. Finally the dosa rolls were covered with Mayo and grated cheese.

3. Chocolate Dosa- We initially were not sure about this one but we took our risk and this Dosa took us with surprise. It was all we needed at that moment to balance the two Dosas we had earlier. It was dressed with chocolate sauce on the top and filled with more sauce and chocolate chips (white & dark chocolate both) inside.. A must must try Dosa Item at D Rajnikhant Dosa!!
