There are those days when one don’t feel like indulging in drinking spree with buddies or having a fancy meal, we happen to visit this restaurant on one such day. Shree Sunders not only provided us with so many options to select from but also satisfied our taste buds. The restaurant has 2 chains in Mumbai. We visited the one located in Lower Parel.
The restaurant gave us a homely feeling at first look which further
becomes more comforting with Shree Sunders’ courteous staff. Talking about the
ambiance, the interior is mostly done in polished wood furniture with tint of mix
colors to accentuate the overall look. We personally loved the golden colonial
style Cutlery they have!!
Shree Sunders offers all veg cuisines with an almost never ending menu
at affordable prices! Their menu ranges from South Indian cuisines to North
Indian food with some interesting items like Neer Dosa – INR 120 (Dosa
served with sweet chutney), Pongal Rice – INR 170, Khoya Kaju – INR 350 (Paneer
Main course) & many more. The non-desi quotient with Italian & Mexican
dishes is impressive too – Pizza starting from INR 350, Veg Lasagna – INR 375,
Risotto starting from INR 400 (Rice preparation). They have a separate
breakfast everyday (except weekends) Buffet serving between 8:30 am – 11:30 am.
For beverages & desserts also, the outlet has varied items starting from Quick
mocktails & Milkshakes to Falooda & Lassi. Over and above the menu,
Shree Sunders have this Happy hours menu too (from 4 pm to 7PM) which covers
combos like Veggie lovers Pizza with Mocktail, Sandwich with milkshake etc.
If you are not sure on what you want to have, the serving staff will
suggest you a few items. We appreciate the efforts put in by our server to help
us out on the same. Since we insisted on having a Punjabi cuisine, he suggested
Chole Bhature meal which was not there on the menu.
Moving on to what we had @Shree Sunders…
1. American Corn & Roast
Garlic (INR 165): We ordered this soup variant to understand the
‘Roast Garlic’ concept. It is basically a creamy soup with American corn taste
topped with Roast Garlic. However, we felt the Garlic chunks were on an extra
side than it should actually be. Great to have during winters (if you like
garlic).

2. Paneer Shashlik Sizzler
(INR 525): Our social group recommended Sizzler variants from Shree Sunders so
we had this one. It has Cottage cheese (grilled) rice, nicely done stir fried
veggies, American corn with cream & Fries served with sweet & Barbeque sauce. We felt the price of the item was on a higher side (as compared
to other places where we had sizzlers). But the quality & quantity did
justify the same. An overall fulfilling cuisine.

3. Stuffed Paratha Meal
(INR 135): This one took our heart! Served with Dahi and Dal makhani, the
parathas had a mix veggies stuffing & were nicely cooked. It is one of
those dishes when you don’t feel like eating too much but still want to have a
satisfying item . A must try at Shree Sunders.

4. Chole Bhature (INR
225): We tried this at the last but it took our taste buds to a new level.
Being Punjabi food lovers, we absolutely loved this one. The meal has Chole
Masala (with sliced spicy potatoes) & Bhature served with vinegar onion slices, pickle & lemon (so that you can enjoy tangy Chole). Kudos to this
one!!

Shree Sunders is a great place to dine out with family & friends
plus it will not burn holes in one’s pocket. We ourselves surely would love to
try more items on their menu next time.
