Beer and a lot more @The Beer Cafe | Lower Parel | Mumbai

By - April 14, 2019

There are a few outlets which remain true to their substance and vibe in the long run. The Beer Café is one such. We have been there a couple of times and most of you must already be aware of the outlet’s offerings. But still we feel a strong urge to review this one!!  The Beer Café has 9 outlets in Mumbai city itself. We happen to visit the one situated in Lower Parel.

Brain child of Rahul Singh, The Beer Café is an alco-beverage restaurant launched in year 2012. Ever since then, there is no stopping. Pouring 50+ different varieties (Erdinger, Hoegaarden, Stella, Shepherd Double Stout, Heineken etc) of Beer from 20 different countries, the outlet has chains in various Indian cities – Amritsar, Chandigarh, Bengaluru, Gurugram, Delhi, Mumbai and a few others. Started with a vision to stimulate communities towards a fun and responsible drinking culture, The Beer Café is a place for one and all.

Talking about specifically the one in Lower Parel, the ambiance is surely a treat for the eyes. It has a marine/nautical theme with boats, ropes, marine quotes fitting in the background. The ambiance is mostly done in wood work with one huge wall dedicated to the bar. For seating, they have high stools, comfy couches and normal chairs as well. The place sure has a club touch with nice music. They have live sports screening as well. Considering the popularity, the outlet is full of people during evenings.

However, what we would like to point out is: There is a need to increase the staff because most of the times we have seen everybody (we including) waiting for someone to come and take their order & place it on time.

Well nothing is complete without good food!! The Beer café has a lot going on their food menu. Ranging from finger food to platters to proper meals, they have it all. They serve Italian, Thai, Chinese and Indian cuisines. On the menu, they have mentioned the name of the country where the food item is inspired from. Some of the interesting items being: Dutch fries (INR 175), Beer battered onion rings (INR 245), Butcher’s plate (INR 345), The Hulk (INR 495), Chargrilled chicken breast (INR 395) etc. They have a lot on cocktails & mocktails menu too.

Moving on to What we tried:

1. French Fries (INR 165) – Nothing fancy but a great munching item always.

2. Chit Chat Bruschetta (INR 195) – It was garlic bread little on a crunchier side topped with cheese tomatoes, olives & basil. A great option if you are looking for something to start with.

4. Garden Fresh Pizza (INR 375) – Thin crust 12’’ pizza with mix peppers, baby corn, jalapenos, cherry tomatoes & olives. Quantity of cheese was like cherry on the cake. Try this one if you want to play on the safe side. It won’t disappoint you.
